HOW IT WORKS

Built for sprayers that draw from a bucket.

The insert changes the bottom profile of a standard five-gallon bucket so the suction tube can reach more of the available coating.

    Place the insert

    Set Fluid Finish securely in the bottom of a clean five-gallon bucket.

  2. 02

    Measure system fluid capacity

    Before adding coating, use clean water to measure the total capacity of the pump, every hose, and every gun. Follow the measurement instructions below, record the total in fluid ounces, and remeasure when your setup changes.

    Add your coating

    Pour in the amount needed and position the sprayer suction tube as directed.

    Draw down the bucket with less coating stranded below the intake.

    Recover Paint From Your Sprayer System

    Once all paint has been drawn from the bucket and no additional paint will be added, pour a measured amount of water equal to the sprayer system’s fluid capacity into the bucket. Continue spraying to push the remaining usable paint through the system. Once the measured water has been drawn from the bucket, stop painting and begin cleaning.

    This procedure applies to compatible water-based coatings. Follow the sprayer manufacturer’s instructions. If dilution appears sooner, stop applying paint to finished work.

Measure, use, clean.

Measure system fluid capacity

With the insert fitted, fill the pump, every connected hose, and every gun with clean water according to your sprayer manufacturer’s instructions. For two guns, fill both lines to the guns. Draw the bucket down and stop promptly. Switch off and unplug the sprayer, then follow the manufacturer’s pressure-relief procedure before disconnecting anything. Using the manufacturer-approved draining procedure, collect and measure the water from the pump, all hoses, and all guns. Add the measured volumes and record the total in fluid ounces. Account for any water you cannot recover using manufacturer capacity information; do not treat an incomplete collection as the full system capacity. Recalculate whenever you change hoses, guns, or other components.

Finish and clean

For compatible water-based coatings, add no more than the measured capacity of clean water when the bucket is empty. Spray usable coating while it remains suitable. At the first sign of dilution, stop applying it to finished work. Flush the sprayer and clean the bucket and insert before coating dries.
